Burt Holland - Creative Partner

After graduating with honors from Florida State University with a degree in business, Burt embarked on a management career with Hyatt Hotels. While overseeing the development of training videos for the company, he soon discovered his true calling in video production. He then partnered with his brother, Lance, and turned a fledgling business that started in their parents’ basement into a corporate production machine, creating videos for Fortune 500 companies all over the world, including Home Depot, ING, Coca-Cola, CDC and General Electric.

His passion for high technology and creative arts led Burt to steer the company into the digital revolution long before their competition. Burt started the Atlanta Media 100 Users Group and became an instructor in non-linear editing for Image Film and Video. Today, he directs the operations of both production and post-production at Encyclomedia. On set, Burt is known as a director who will hang from a grid, hold the boom or run for a battery; whatever it takes to get a shot done right.

Burt lives in Decatur with his wife Emily, sons Hughes and Roe, and Nola (who also serves as our studio dog).
