How crazy can my concept be?

That’s up to you.  In our 20 years in the industry, we’ve created all sorts of different videos.  And we’d love to work with you on figuring out what you need and how to shoot it, whether it’s a flashy, quick motion graphics piece or a longer, emotional documentary.  We’re committed to providing a great crew and post-production to bring your vision to life, but not all requests may be possible.

Will the video really be free?

Absolutely.  We will provide all production and post-production up to $50,000.

When will the winner be announced?

On August 25, 2012 at our studio party.

Who picks the winner?

We’ll post your brief summary of your idea (item J on the entry form) to our website.  In July of 2012, we’ll open it up to voting.  Everyone will be able to vote 1 time in the month.  At the end of July, the 3 ideas that have the most votes will become our 3 finalists.  The encyclomedia team will pick the winner from the 3 finalists.

When will the video be finished?

Since we won’t know anything about the video until the contest is over, we’ll work directly with the winner to develop the production and post-production schedule.  We’ll do our best to keep to a reasonable timeframe for delivery.

Why are you doing this? What’s in it for you?

We really enjoy working with nonprofits and were looking for a way to give back with the skills that we have.  This idea sounded like fun.  Plus, we thought it would help get our name out there to some organizations that aren’t familiar with us.  Win-win, right?
