Shooting some new material for Husky tools, we enlisted the help of friends and clients Andrew T. Crawford Ironworks. It’s been a while since we were able to play around in the visual playground (who else has a human-sized golden frog for Despina to kiss?) that is Andrew’s ironworking studio, but they gave us pretty free reign over there recently while filming this Husky spot. We spent a little time there to carefully craft the transition between this scene and the next, which took place in a garage in Avondale Estates. The edit itself is straightforward but what really stands out in this piece (aside from the awesome acting by the talent and the Husky tools of course) are the transitions from Ironworks to the garage and to a Home Depot store. And then back again. We brought in some of our favorite cohorts to make this piece pop -Charles Bickelman on lighting, Despina Grammenos on set design, and Alyson Watson as line producer. Make sure you check out the smooth moves of shooters Sean and Lance in the pics above, one with the Sony FS7 on the Ronin gimbal system and the other with the Sony F5 on the doorway dolly. Thanks for all the hard work!
